Alexander Valley Pinot Noir, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, 2008

Estate grown and bottled. Wetzel family estate. Vineyards along the Russian River supplied the fruit for the 2008 Pinot Noir, a luxurious wine brimming with strawberry and cherry aromas and flavors. The wine was aged for nine months in French oak barrels, adding layers of vanilla and nutmeg. This silky, medium-bodied Pinot is also versatile, complementing a wide array of dishes including roasted pork tenderloin and grilled salmon. The Alexander Valley yields distinctive grapes and wines recognized worldwide. Our property was the homestead of pioneer Cyrus Alexander, for whom the valley is named. We produce delicious wines, rich in varietal character, from our vineyards. Alcohol 14% by volume.
